What are We learning?

Throughout the year we will be learning so many wonderful things, and every couple of weeks we will begin learning a new skill! Here are the ELs we will be learning this year:

Phonics Skills

Even though the students learned all their phonics skills in first grade, I will spend two weeks reviewing some very important phonics skills throughout the year and even introducing new ones! Here are just a few:

  • Long Vowels/ Silent E

  • Sounds of Y

  • Diagraphs

  • R Controlled Vowels

  • Plurals

  • Silent Consonants
